Rick Dale Beck, age 61 of Turtletown, TN passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 from injuries sustained in a work related accident in Chattanooga, TN. Rick was born September 15, 1951 in Muskogee, OK to Delton and Mary Sue Beck. He was of the Baptist Faith and a tribal member of the Choctaw Indian Nation. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Delton Beck; his sister, Debi Beck; grandparents, Raymond and Nell Kinsey all of Stigler, OK.
Rick is survived by his wife of forty years, Jan Beck of the home; his son, Justin and wife Misty Beck of Turtletown, TN; mother, Mary Sue Beck of Stigler, OK; great aunt, Bernice Bisby of Stigler, OK; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jack and Bobbie Bigham and brother-in-law, Don Bigham all of Turtletown, TN; niece and nephew, Holly and Jake Bigham of Blue Ridge, GA.
Rick was a loyal, dedicated employee of Astec, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN for thirty-five years. Rick enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard, riding with his faithful dog, Roscoe in the golf cart. On Saturdays, you would find Rick and Justin at the go kart track, a passion they both loved and shared together. Rick was kind and respected by all who knew him. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Pastor Dusty Caldwell and Jan Beck officiating. Pallbearers wree Don Bigham, Victor Morrow, J.D. Gibson, Tommy Wells, Jimmy Lewis, Rick Miller, Mickey Miles, Ricky Stewart, David Simpson and Samuel McDonald.
