Wendell White, Sr. age 78 of Dalton, GA passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at his home. Born on March 9, 1934 in Fannin County, GA to the late William Robert and Velvie Lewis White. He was a set up maintenance man with Firestone. Mr. White was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth White. He is survived by significant other, Iva Lee Ledford of Dalton, GA; sons, David (Gina) White of Adairsville, GA and Wendell White, Jr. of Manistee, MI; Tina Marie Wagner of Traverse City, MI and Julie White of Traverse City, MI; brothers, Junior White of Blue Ridge, GA, Tommy White of Atlanta, GA and Kimsey White of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Helen Gibbs of Mineral Bluff, GA, Geraldine White of Ellijay, GA and Frances Parr of Dalton, GA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Paul Gibbs officiating. Pallbearers were David White, Wendell White, Tony Gerou, Troy Gerou, Joseph Wagner and Larry Beavers. Music was by Pauline & Junior White. Interment followed Welcome Hill #2 Cemetery.
