Mrs. Verna Mae Ward, age 76, of Blue Ridge, GA formerly of Ellenwood, GA passed away June 25, 2012. Born in Heflin, AL she was the daughter of the late Oran and Eula Jane Chastain Camp. Mrs. Ward was retired from Carolina Freight Carriers after many years of services. She was also a member of the Local Teamsters #728 in Atlanta, GA and the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Ward; son, Clyde M. Ward, Jr. (Paula) of Ellenwood, GA; two daughters, Pat (Ike) Smith of Sugar Hill, GA and Lynn (Gary) Croteau of Prince Fredrick, MD; brothers, Travis, Troy and Leroy Camp; sisters, Barbara Hawk and Linda McEachern; half-sister, Gala Camp; four grandchildren, Jeremy Alley, Jeffrey and Kevin Smith and Robert Ward.

Mrs. Ward was cremated. A memorial service was Monday, July 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Shadowbrook Baptist Church, 4187 Suwanee Dam Road, Suwanee, GA 30024.
